Medieval Week

Last week was Medieval week and it was really fun. My favourite activity was the PowerPoint that we made made. We got in to groups of 3 or 4 and chose a topic that we wanted to research about, my group chose to do knights. I was in a group with Isabella, Emily-Kei and Regina. At the end of our PowerPoint we had to do an activity that related to our topic. Since my group did knights one of our subtopics was Tournaments so our activity was jousting. Everyone got into pairs and they numbered themselves 1 and 2. If you were number 1 then you were a knight, if you were number 2 then you were a horse. The horse got down onto their hands and knees and the knight sat on top of them. The knight was given a swimming noodle and a cushion as a lance and a shield. 2 pairs would fight each other and the first person to fall off their horse or if their horse collapsed then they would lose. It was a really fun activity although it hurt the persons knees who was the horse.
Another part of Medieval week that I enjoyed was the Minecraft battle that we did on Friday.
Overall Medieval week was really fun and I liked that topic.

Kapa Haka

This term for Kapa Haka the things that I have found easy are..
Practically most of the moves are easy enough to do so nothing is that hard really except the pukana. I just can't seem to get my mouth to do that!
I think that to improve my performance I could try a bit harder to remember the words of the songs because I find it hard to look at the leaders when I forget the moves as well as looking at the words.

Minecraft

For the minecraft world I'm making the shops with Marguerite but she is away for a few weeks so practically I am by myself for now. We are making different types of shops like bakery's, butchers and lots of others. 
I can't really choose a favourite building in Room 11's own because I like them all. Everyone has been really creative and altogether our town looks really effective and quite similar to the real Middle Ages towns.
Minecraft has been really fun so far and I think that when the town is finished it will look really cool.
