Last year in June, 80 Italian chefs come together and broke the record for the worlds longest pizza-a pizza that was around a mile long- but then in May this year they broke the record again.
250 chefs come together once again and made a pizza which was 1,853.88 metres long or 1.15 miles long. It took the chefs 11 hours to make the pizza this year but last year it took 18 hours since they had a lot less chefs.
For their ingredients they used 2000 kg of flour, 1600 kg of tomatoes, 2000 kg or cheese, 674 kg of pizza sauce, 99 kg of lettuce, 200 litres of olive oil and for the crust 674 kg of margarine, 8981 kg of flour and 249 kg of salt.
When the pizza was ready the adjudicator confirmed that the world record had been broken and the hungry people got their HUGE pieces of pizza, all of the leftovers were given to the food bank.
