Electives

This term the elective that I am in is Design a Cushion. I was originally in Creative Computers but then I did the first 2 weeks of it and decided that it wasn't really the right elective for me. On the 3rd week of electives I asked Mrs Taylor and she allowed me to change so I started in Design a Cushion.
I enjoyed my first week of Design a Cushion and I have started choosing my fabrics and cutting out the pattern on my cushion.
I am a bit behind since I started a few weeks after so I might have to do some work at home but that is fine with me.
At first I wasn't sure if we were going to using sewing machines because the school would need to buy lots of sewing machines but we are actually hand sewing.
I really like Design a Cushion and can't wait to seethe finished product.

Castle Building Project

Last week when we made our castles I was in a group with Marguerite and Emily-Kei.
We had our plan and then we started building but at first we kept on changing our plans and then we finally thought of good sized measurements and decided on a plan. I think that we had a good group and we all worked well together. It was very hard building our walls in the right shape with the tabs in the correct places so we had to ask another group how they made theirs.
Their were lots of things that had to be done like, drawing the nets, cutting them out, sticking things together and painting.
We were not sure how to stick our finished castle onto the piece of paper so in the end we just stuck it down with tape and thankfully it worked.
My favourite part of the project was the painting so I was very happy when we had built all of the walls and castle/turrets and it was time to paint them.
Emily-Kei, Marguerite and I are very happy with the final result, I really liked this project and hope that there are some more projects like this later on in the year.

Cross Country 2016

Cross country was really fun this year. As usual Cross country was at Nairnville park. I was happy with my placing, 4th, that means I'm going to Northern zones! It was very cold waiting while the younger kids were racing but my friends and I had fun warming up and stretching together. The course that the year 7 and 8's ran was 2 kilometers. When I was waiting for my race to begin, I was really exited and nervous and the same time. It was a great feeling running into the finish line with everyone cheering for you. Overall, I had a really fun day and I'm looking forward to Northern zones which will be held at Nairnville park as well.

Zootopia- Movie Review

Zootopia

Zootopia is a brilliant movie about a small bunny called Judy who has always dreamed about being a police officer. When she has finally finished her training course after much effort, she has a chance to be a police officer. She travels to Zootopia where she starts her new life. Judy is disappointed when she finds out the role she has been assigned to do is rather easy and is not a proper case to solve but when a real case comes through about a missing citizen of Zootopia, Judy is determined to do a great job. She is given a short period of time to solve the case and by the help of her friend, Nick Wilde the fox, she sets off on her journey to prove herself to the other police officers.
Zootopia is a great movie and I recommend it to people the ages of 7-13.
I rate this movie 4 stars.
