Easter

Happy Easter!
On Easter Sunday I had a great day, Olivia and I came down stairs to see lots of chocolate! We put down our parents treat that we got them and they got a surprise when they came downstairs because they weren't expecting Easter eggs. We then went to Church and the Easter egg hunt after Church. After lunch we went to my Grandparents house and we had a roast for dinner.

Review on EOTC week

Last week the year 8's were on camp so every day of the week the year 7's got to do a fun activity.

Monday: Mt Kau Kau and tech

Tuesday: Capital E- Media lab and On TV

Wednesday: Pataka and pool

Thursday: Camp Kaitoke

Friday: ASB sports centre

My proudest moment was when my team in orienteering came 3rd. I found the kayaking easy because I've done kayaking twice, at swimming and Rosie and I did it once and we were so pro at it!! I think that crate stacking was the most challenging activity of the week but it was pretty hard not to laugh when we were filming for our On TV show at Capital E. EOTC week was practically what I expected except for the games that we played at ASB. I thought we were going to play sports like football, netball and floor ball but instead we played turbo touch and speedball- two sports I have never heard of- but I really enjoyed both of those sports (except for when I wasn't ready to catch the ball in speedball so it hit my head!)

Overall I had a great week filled with fun games and challenging activities and I'm soo excited for camp next year!

Next week it is EOTC/camp week. The year 8's are on camp and the year 7's are out all week doing lots of fun activities like a day camp, Capital E, swimming and much more. I'm really looking forward to the day camp, camp kaitoke. At the camp we will do crate-stacking, orienteering, kayaking and absailing. When we go to Capital E I'm doing the On TV. I'm really excited for EOTC week!

Duolingo

This year the year 7's and year 8's are using a website called duolingo to help us learn Spanish. I'm enjoying using duolingo because it helps me a lot to learn Spanish. I think it's a great way to help us remember new Spanish words. Sometimes I struggle saying the words into the microphone because I'm not entirely sure how to pronounce them. Duolingo teaches you how to say foods, greetings and sentences we may need to know.
